Sharing is Caring-

What does Body shaming mean?

The action or practice of humiliating someone by making mocking or critical comments about their body shape or size.

Features that make you beautiful / handsome :-

  1. Look slim (but not curve less)
  2. Have curves (but don’t look fat)
  3. Have fair complexion (but not as fair as foreigners)
  4. Have dusky complexion (but not too dark).
  5. Boys must have proper height and body muscles.
  6. Only dusky complexion suits to boys.

The point that I don’t understand here is- Is our body shape, skin tone, facial features and other physical attributes chosen by us?

Well, the answer is NO. The human body is gifted by God. In India, we are not allowed to say anything wrong about God’s Prasad but we can definitely comment on anyone’s body which is made by same God.

body shaming

The funny thing here is- not only girls, but boys too face the same thing if they do not have a muscular body. In this era also such body shaming exists. You are judged on the basis of your looks, beauty, height, weight, body, and complexion. It is a high time to wake up such people and tell them to grow up. Nobody on this earth is FLAWLESS.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. You must not blame your body shape just because of such creepy thinkers. Do not let their stupid comments affect you.

For all the teenagers out there- At this age there will be certain changes in your body shapes. Just try and accept them as they are. Do not make your body suffer because of others.

If you let them conquer yourself then you will be the one who will suffer (not the ones who are commenting). Young girls and boys are very sensitive when it comes to body related problems. Many of them are suffering because of hormonal issues, medical side effects, heredity and so on.

Let your talent, deeds, actions, and profession speak. Carry your flaws with elegance. Be graceful when you walk. Be confident with what you speak. Go ahead make your parents proud. This is how can make those body shamers go silent.

Each morning get up with hope. Admire yourself for who you are from inside.
