Turn your dream into reality.
Dear confused souls,
Life is not always easy. I know it’s not easy to live and grow up in a family where there are more expectations from you and more pressure for you. Especially in the type of society that you and I live in. There is pressure to score higher marks than your relative’s child, the pressure to be more intelligent than your siblings and the pressure to be worthy. It’s not easy you know, to always argue with your parents to explain that professions other than doctor and engineer do exist.
There are a lot of us who have a big dream, to do something meaningful with our life but are scared because our parents won’t approve it. We are scared to disappoint them. [perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]Parents are more experienced than us, they know this world better but that doesn’t mean that every decision they take is always right.[/perfectpullquote]
Alright, I’ll give you an example; you all know the famous pop star, Katy Perry. As the daughter of two pastors, Katy was raised according to a strict religious code of conduct that prohibited pop culture. However, she still followed her dream and look where she is now.
Somewhere in a small corner of this big world, a person is depressed; regrets that he couldn’t follow his heart, follow his goddamn dream. Although he has everything; the bungalow he always dreamt of owning, the club membership, the luxury car. He can buy himself anything and everything except for happiness. And I know that you definitely don’t want to be that guy.
Life is unpredictable, you never know if you’ll get to see tomorrow because Kal Ho Naa Ho plus Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaraa (Okay enough of Bollywood reference). So try everything in life, make sure that your life is worth living. You don’t always need to be a depressed soul. [perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]Try to talk to your parents, explain your dream to them because eventually they will understand. Sometimes you need to take that risk.[/perfectpullquote]
Most people have failed to live their life to the fullest because they ran behind money instead of chasing their dream. They became what their family and the society wanted but couldn’t become what they were really passionate about. They may be successful personalities but in the context of life, they are failures.
So stop there right now! Take a long breath. Ask yourself, Is this what you really want? Is this the life that you have been dreaming of?
Because, better late than never.
A confused soul, not anymore.
