Sharing is Caring-

When I was a baby, who cried in the cradle, you were there to sing me to sleep. Even when you were so tired of everything. As I grew up a bit, and I spilled paint in all your favorite fabric, you smiled and called me an artist, never complaining how you had to work an extra hour to remove all the stains. When I ran so fast in the park, you ran behind me to protect me even though your legs hurt from cleaning all day at home. You always gave me what I wanted and scolded me when it was necessary. You cooked my favorite meal irrespective of what you were going through in your life. When I jumped in the pool, you jumped next even when you didn’t know to swim. You always kept my life ahead of yours. You sat for hours outside the exam hall in the scorching sun, yet bought me the cold drink. You never asked for the last piece of cake even though it was your favorite.
You always compromised. You would sit through all the movies which made no sense to you, just so I could feel safe and secure in the theatre. You listened to all the abuses I said, without complaining. Yet when I screamed in pain you were the first one running to me taking me in your arms. You would stay up all night so I could sleep soundly in the train. You would scold me to dress properly just so I could remain safe. You didn’t mind being the bad guy infront of me, rather you were always happy to keep me safe. Even though that would irritate me. You always helped me with my homework even though you had no idea what to do. You spoke so freely to me as my best friend that I could share everything with you. From your deepest secrets to the small things which made you happy, you would tell me everything like I was your secret diary. You sacrificed your job for my studies, you sacrificed your relationships with people just to give me all your attention. You were the one who filled all my college admission forms day and night, even when I didnt acknowledge any of your efforts. You tried so hard to make me feel comfortable. You bought me the costliest gadgets, best dresses yet you always wore simple clothes and used that old.

You bought me the costliest gadgets, best dresses yet you always wore simple clothes and used that old nokia phone. You would drop me each day to school when I got late without complaning how much late you got to your work because of me. I wish I helped you more in my young age, because as I grow up I can see your faded face with a smile which is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. As your hair slowly turns white due to all the efforts and love you only gave, and never expected anything in return. I still remember the day you gave up all your savings for a new sewing machine so I could get into the coaching I never studied in. When my results came and I had messed up so much I cried the whole day in my room. You were the one who force fed me, and showered me with all your love. You healed me from my deepest miseries. You skipped your own parents’ funeral so I dont get mentally disturbed by it my whole life. I heard from grandma how much trouble you faced when I was in your womb, so many injections, so much pain. You are the only person in  the world who can turn all the pain to happiness. I wish someday i have a daughter/son and i am the same to them like you are to me.

Thankyou mother, for all the sacrifices and happiness you have given me. I am sorry, for giving you so much trouble and pain.
I hope I become a better person and make you proud some day.
Love you mom.

Happy mothers day, to the most beautiful woman God has ever created.
