Sharing is Caring-

All were engaged in posting father’s day post,

She was sitting in one corner,

And waiting for him to arise,

With a wide smile on her face

With new thoughts in her mind,

She was holding a letter for him,

Where she had revealed her feelings,

She wanted him to believe in her,

She was not demanding fancy gifts,

All she wanted a hug and care,

Wanted him to give freedom of thoughts,

Which were surrounded by norms of the society,

She wanted him to hold her hand,

And was dreaming to take a flight over the world,

Her eyes were filled with countless dreams,

Was waiting for a ray to shine,

She took it as a dream which was just her illusion,

Even she had made up her mind,

She tried to console herself and smile,

All this was her dream,

That will never turn into the reality,

Here came a turn where she was proved wrong,

Her eyes were filled with tears of happiness

As he woke up and asked her to walk with him,

Asked her to move around and observe the society,

He asked her to jump in the fire,

Not to get burn in customs of society,

But to stand for her rights,

She was surprised to hear those words,

Was still not able to believe

Whether it was dream or reality,

Was afraid to step in and shine,

He looked into her eyes,

Apologized for not being with her

It was late but not too late

For realizing and caring for her,

That day he gifted the best gift of her life,

It was the real day for the celebration,

It was a day for both of them,

Where a daughter and father came closer,

And collapsing the walls of the so-called Society.

I wish to ignite the fire whose flames will lead the people towards the shining star, not to the ashes.
